BLACKPINK member Jisoo has directly addressed the recent controversy involving her older brother, making it clear that she is not related to the issue.

Through her legal representative, it was stated that “the current issue being raised is completely unrelated to Jisoo and her agency,” drawing a clear line between the artist and the situation.

The controversy grew after reports and online speculation linked a family member of a girl group member to an alleged incident, along with additional claims and rumors about involvement in her agency.

However, the statement clarified that “many of the claims being spread online are unverified or clearly false.”

It was also explained that Jisoo has lived independently for a long time and “was not in a position to know or be involved in that person’s private life.”

Regarding her agency, it was confirmed that while family members may have offered limited help in communication during the early stages, “no family member has received compensation or participated in decision making,” and operations have been fully independent.

The representative further emphasized that Jisoo and her agency “have not provided any financial or legal support” to the individual and have no plans to do so.

They also warned that spreading false information or linking her name to unrelated matters may be considered defamation, and stated that strong legal action will be taken if necessary.
