Actor Kim Jae Won is gaining attention after issuing a playful public apology following a line from ‘Yumi’s Cells 3’ that drew strong reactions online.
On April 15, he shared a clip from the drama on social media along with the message, “I am sorry to Maltese dog owners nationwide,” addressing the response to his character’s dialogue.
In the scene, his character Shin Soon Rok says, “It is surprising that a Maltese got second place in a world competition. Do not Maltese dogs eat poop?” which shocked Yumi, played by Kim Go Eun, who owns a Maltese in the story.
Following the broadcast, Kim Go Eun joined in the fun by commenting, “Dog owners, gather,” while viewers reacted with comments such as “Maltese dogs do not eat poop,” “Maltese is love,” and “Soon Rok is not likable.”
Kim Jae Won’s lighthearted apology added humor to the situation and further drew attention to the drama’s buzz.
