Singer Kang Daniel is drawing attention after appearing in an official Army Training Center promotional video, confirming his role as a squad leader during his military service.
On April 13, the Army Training Center released a recruitment video where Kang Daniel appeared in full uniform wearing an instructor hat, confidently introducing himself and explaining the role.
Encouraging others to apply, he shared, “I was also selected as a squad leader”, and explained that one of the biggest benefits is being able to “develop leadership while guiding many people during military life”. He added that there is strong pride in “leading trainees to become elite soldiers”.
It was also reported that Kang Daniel passed strict physical and character evaluations in order to be selected as a training instructor.
Kang Daniel enlisted as an active-duty soldier on February 9 and is scheduled to be discharged on August 8, 2027.
