Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has shared the story behind their contract renewal, drawing attention for how quickly the decision was made and the role BTS member RM played in the process.
During a media showcase held on April 13 in Seoul ahead of their 8th mini album release, the group revealed that they finalized their contract renewal with BigHit Music in just one hour.
Taehyun explained, “We finished the contract renewal in just one hour,” adding that they sought advice from BTS’s RM.
He shared, “We went to RM sunbaenim for advice, and he said, ‘I don’t remember well, so I’ll look for the files.’ He actually found the materials and explained them to us, and told us, ‘It’s already been 7 years, you worked hard.’ It felt very warm and reassuring.”
Soobin also addressed reactions to how fast the decision was made, saying, “Some people said it was fast that we decided in one hour,” but explained, “That shows how confident we are in our team, and I think that choice led to a good album and good results.”
Hueningkai also shared his recent experience attending BTS’s world tour concert in Seoul, saying, “It had been a long time since I saw their stage, and I was very moved. There was so much to learn,” adding that he was especially impressed by how they handled the performance despite the rain.
TXT’s new album ‘The Star Chapter: When the Wind Stopped in the Thorn Bush’ marks their first group release since renewing their contracts.
The album includes six tracks, with the title track “One More Day” described as an electro pop song with a powerful and addictive chorus, expressing the emotions of wanting to hold on to a love that feels like it is ending.
The album reflects the members’ own stories and experiences, with the group actively participating in writing and composing, signaling a more personal and sincere direction in their music.
