IU expressed strong confidence in her upcoming drama ‘Perfect Crown’ during its press conference, drawing attention with her bold and playful remarks.
Speaking while immersed in her character, she stated, “I have never lost the number one spot in the industry”, and added that their team will aim to make the drama reach the top as well.
She also shared her dedication as an actress, saying she is actively promoting the project and “doing my best with everything I have”, showing her commitment to the drama.
IU described her character as someone who “has everything but is frustrated for not having status”, explaining that although the character shows a lot of irritation and strong emotions, she is also “a cute and multi dimensional character”.
She added that she found the role appealing and decided to join the drama without much hesitation.
‘Perfect Crown’ is set in a modern constitutional monarchy and follows a romance between a woman who has everything except status and a man who has status but cannot have anything else.
The drama is scheduled to premiere on April 10.
