NCT’s Doyoung, who is currently serving in the military, has shared his thoughts following news of Mark’s departure, expressing his emotions and asking fans to avoid speculation.

On April 3, Doyoung posted a long message on social media, explaining why he chose to speak up. He stated, “Waiting without saying anything did not feel like me, and it did not feel like NCT 127”, as he decided to share his feelings in his own words.

Doyoung spoke warmly about Mark, saying, “He was a friend I loved more than anyone, and I still love him the same”, and added that they had many conversations together.

He shared, “I decided to understand all of ‘the Mark I love’ and continue to support him endlessly”, while asking fans to listen to Mark’s thoughts “without prejudice”.

He also addressed the group’s future, saying that although fans “may not be able to see NCT 127 with Mark for a while”, they will prepare in case “there comes a moment when we can be together again.”

Doyoung expressed concern over rumors, stating, “If doubts and speculation arise about Mark and the members, I think I will be overwhelmed with unbearable sadness and frustration.”

He asked fans to protect the bond they have built together, saying, “Please help us keep the beauty we have shared with fans for over 10 years.”

He also spoke directly to fans, acknowledging their feelings by saying that the “sense of loss and sadness cannot simply be forced away,” but promised to work hard to bring “greater happiness in the future.”

Meanwhile, Mark announced on the same day that he would be leaving NCT 127 and NCT DREAM after 10 years, and ending his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment.
