BTS member V is receiving strong praise after taking part as the main writer and composer of the track “Into the Sun,” which has been highlighted by major international media outlets.

During the introduction of BTS’s ‘ARIRANG’ album on March 20, the outro track “Into the Sun” drew attention as J-Hope introduced it by saying, “The last song is Taehyung’s ‘Into the Sun.’”

Jungkook added, “Taehyung hyung really did something again,” while V shyly shared, “It suddenly ended up being included as the last track on this album.”

Despite creating the song, V revealed he was initially unsure about including it. He explained, “I wrote it, but I thought we should objectively consider whether it fits the album… there are many great songs from the members, so I wondered if this song really needed to be included.”

He then added that he “didn’t expect the members to like it this much,” showing his humble attitude.

The members expressed strong appreciation for the track. RM described it as “feeling like the backs of seven people running toward a sunset,” while Jin said, “It fits the ending well,” and Suga commented, “It’s perfect as an outro.”

Producer Nitti, who worked on the album, also shared positive thoughts about the process, saying, “The moment we started ‘Into the Sun’ was very special… we played together for 20 minutes with great excitement. It was the most fun moment during the camp,” adding that he felt “very proud to be part of this song.”

The track has also received high praise from global critics. Rolling Stone described it as “a dazzling finale” with harmonies and a “slow, shimmering tempo” that feels like “watching a majestic sunset with BTS.”

The New York Times called it “hypnotic and calming,” highlighting its unique mix of guitar, whistling sounds, and a memorable chorus.

Other outlets also praised the song’s musical direction. The Hollywood Reporter noted that BTS is “moving into a new territory” through the track, while BBC described it as “experimental and interesting”, pointing out how digital effects create a “mysterious and emotional atmosphere” before transitioning into a powerful stadium rock sound.

The Guardian added that the song leaves “a final surprise,” calling it an “intriguing finale” that leaves a strong impression.

With “Into the Sun,” V not only showcased his musical abilities but also contributed to expanding BTS’s overall sound, earning both fan and critical recognition worldwide.
