AKMU’s Lee Chan Hyuk shared details about his newly established company, drawing attention for its unique culture, creative naming, and employee benefits.

On a recent variety show appearance, it was revealed that Lee Chan Hyuk and Lee Su Hyun ended their long partnership with YG Entertainment after about 12 years and launched their own agency called “Fountain of Inspiration”.

Explaining the name, Lee Chan Hyuk said he had often been asked, “Where do you get your inspiration?” since before debut.

He shared, “I thought, the place we are in is the source of inspiration… we always take a spoonful of inspiration,” adding that employees are called “inspiration members” because they are “people who give us inspiration.”

The company also stands out for its unusual titles. Lee Chan Hyuk is referred to as “Head of the Spring,” while Lee Su Hyun is called “Princess”.

He explained that even during work, they use these titles, saying employees would speak formally like, “Princess, I’m contacting you about accounting”, and receive a reply like, “Yes, inspiration member.”

When asked about employee benefits, a staff member honestly shared, “At first, I thought it was a downgrade compared to my previous company, but after experiencing it, I felt ‘it’s better than I expected.’ After about two months, it feels like something I could trust my life with”. This response made Lee Su Hyun react with surprise, while Lee Chan Hyuk showed a satisfied smile.

AKMU, who debuted after winning an audition program in 2012, officially started this new chapter after their contract with YG Entertainment ended, continuing their journey through their self-established agency.
