BTS’s V shared a surprising story about how he almost gave up his dream of becoming a celebrity after seeing actor Kang Dong Won.

On March 29, V appeared on a YouTube show where he talked openly about his childhood and early thoughts about his future.

He recalled his grandmother’s words, saying, “She told me, ‘A singer becomes someone like that, and an actor becomes someone like that,’” while pointing to a banner with Kang Dong Won.

V admitted that he believed it at the time, saying he thought, “I understood it that way,” and felt that reaching that level seemed difficult, which briefly made him reconsider his dream.

He also shared more about his upbringing, explaining that he grew up with his grandparents while his parents lived in Geoje.

He added with a smile, “These days, they say my face is on banners in Geochang,” showing how things have changed.

Despite his doubts, V said he continued to pursue what he loved, explaining, “I still liked music and dancing,” and added, “People told me I was good, and when I danced, I even got 5,000 won. I really liked that,” highlighting his early passion.

Meanwhile, BTS recently made a full group comeback with their 5th full album ‘Arirang,’ marking their return after about 3 years and 9 months.
