Actress Yoon Eun Hye shared honest thoughts about comparing herself to other celebrities and how it affected her emotions over time.
In a recent video, she responded to a fan who said they often compare themselves to others on social media. Yoon Eun Hye admitted that she also experienced similar feelings, saying she is “not completely free from that.”
She recalled attending major fashion events in the past, including Paris and New York collections, and said that seeing posts online made her think, “I went to those brands too” and “I used to be like that.”
She explained that these thoughts made her feel like she “looked small” and “had no influence,” which sometimes led to feelings of sadness.
However, she shared that her mindset has changed over time. She said she decided not to focus on the past and instead appreciate her present life, explaining that she now values “the freedom to enjoy my life and love myself” and finds gratitude in her daily routine.
Yoon Eun Hye also spoke about material things, revealing, “I have not bought any luxury items for the past 10 years.”
She clarified that this does not mean she is unhappy, saying she does not feel “less happy or discouraged.”
She added that while luxury items can bring happiness to some people, “comparing yourself to others is not right.”
She encouraged focusing on personal growth by setting small goals and spending time on oneself, emphasizing the importance of appreciating one’s own life instead of comparing it to others.
