CJ ENM is drawing attention after two of its Korean productions were officially nominated at the 2026 Banff Rockie Awards, one of the world’s most recognized international television award events.
According to CJ ENM on March 25, both ‘Bon Appétit, Your Majesty’ and ‘Study Group’ made the official 2026 nominee list announced on March 23 local time, with entries from 21 countries selected this year.
‘Bon Appétit, Your Majesty’ was nominated in the Non English Language Drama Series category, where it will compete against titles from countries including Canada, Taiwan, and France.
Meanwhile, ‘Study Group’ was nominated in the Non English Language Comedy Series category, where it will face works from countries such as Spain, the Netherlands, and Norway. Both projects were produced by Studio Dragon, a subsidiary of CJ ENM.
What makes the achievement even more notable is the strong performance already shown by ‘Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.’
The drama reportedly surpassed 20% viewership ratings on tvN, making it one of the network’s standout titles, and it also ranked No. 3 in viewing hours among all series released on Netflix in the second half of 2025, trailing only ‘Wednesday 2’ and ‘Stranger Things 5.’
The series also earned praise from major overseas media outlets. Forbes reportedly described it as a show where “the real main character is the carefully prepared food,” while The New York Times called it a “romantic comedy that delivers love through food as its language.” Those reactions added even more weight to its growing global reputation.
‘Study Group’ has also continued building strong international momentum. The TVING original previously won Best Original Program in the Streaming Original Feature category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA), one of Asia’s biggest content award events.
Forbes also praised the drama, calling it a project with “solid quality and standout casting.” The series is also currently preparing Season 2, showing that its momentum is still ongoing.
CJ ENM also highlighted that this follows another strong year for the company. Last year, titles including ‘Jeongnyeon,’ ‘LTNS,’ and ‘Europe Outside Your Tent’ were also nominated, giving CJ ENM the highest number of nominations among Asian content companies at the event.
A CJ ENM representative said the recognition is especially meaningful because ‘Bon Appétit, Your Majesty’ and ‘Study Group’ each showed different strengths of Korean content on the global stage.
The company stated that the strong response to a series built around Korean food and history and another showcasing the appeal of K-school dramas reflects the growing global reach of K-content, adding that it is “a great honor” to be recognized at a prestigious awards event and that they hope to continue creating stories that connect with viewers worldwide.
