SBS drama Phantom Lawyer is drawing major attention after rising all the way to No. 1 on Netflix in South Korea, beating out even BTS’s highly talked about comeback live event.
According to Netflix’s Top 10 Series in South Korea Today on March 24, Phantom Lawyer ranked No. 1 as of that afternoon, showing the drama’s growing popularity among viewers.
What is making the result even more notable is that No. 2 on the same chart was BTS The Comeback Live: ARIRANG, the group’s widely discussed special event that also made headlines for being held at Gwanghwamun.
The strong ranking is another sign that Phantom Lawyer is becoming one of the more talked about dramas right now, with viewers responding to its unusual mix of supernatural mystery, emotional storytelling, and character driven humor.
Led by Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom, the series follows Shin Irang, a lawyer possessed by spirits who helps resolve the grudges of the dead, and Han Na Hyun, a cold and highly competitive elite lawyer who is focused on winning at all costs.
With the drama now sitting above one of the biggest K pop events on Netflix’s daily Korea chart, attention is quickly growing around whether Phantom Lawyer can maintain its momentum and continue its strong run in the days ahead.
Phantom Lawyer airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST.
