Joo Ji Hoon is proving his impact once again as ENA’s Climax continues to gain serious momentum across buzz rankings, ratings, and streaming platforms.
According to Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex rankings for the third week of March, Joo Ji Hoon ranked No. 1 in the drama actor category with 6.2%, while Climax also took No. 1 in the TV drama category with 18.72%, making it one of the clearest signs yet that both the actor and the drama are dominating the conversation at the same time.
The strong buzz is also being backed up by clear ratings growth. Based on Nielsen Korea nationwide paid households, Climax rose from 2.9% in episode 1 to 3.8% in episode 2, then climbed again to 3.9% in episode 3, giving the drama three straight episodes of growth since its premiere.
The momentum does not stop there. Right after its release on Disney+, Climax reportedly hit No. 1 on “Top 10 Series in South Korea Today.”
The drama also ranked No. 1 on several major trend platforms, including Naver Entertainment’s “Most Searched Dramas Right Now,” Kinolights Trend, and Watcha Pedia HOT Dramas, showing strong interest across multiple major services.
The result is drawing even more attention because Joo Ji Hoon is continuing a strong run after his previous project The Trauma Code topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non English TV Shows last year. With Climax, he is once again posting meaningful results across both local and wider platform indicators.
A big part of the drama’s rising attention is Joo Ji Hoon’s performance as Bang Tae Seob, a prosecutor from a poor background who chases power and ambition. Viewers have been praising the actor for delivering a layered performance, especially through subtle changes in his expressions and gaze.
One of the earliest breakout moments came from the drama’s bold whistling ending in episode 1, which quickly became a hot topic online and helped boost early discussion around the series.
With Climax now leading in buzz rankings, continuing its steady ratings climb, and taking No. 1 spots across major platforms, many viewers are now watching closely to see just how far Joo Ji Hoon’s latest drama can go as its momentum keeps building.
