tvN’s Mad Concrete Dreams is quickly becoming one of the most talked about weekend dramas after episode 4 delivered another intense turning point and climbed to the top of its time slot.

According to Nielsen Korea, the March 22 broadcast of Mad Concrete Dreams recorded an average nationwide rating of 3.9% and a peak of 4.5%, while in the Seoul metropolitan area it reached an average of 4.2% and a peak of 5.0%.

The drama ranked No. 1 in its time slot among cable and general programming channels, showing strong momentum as viewers continue to follow the series’ fast rising tension.

Much of the buzz is centered on the growing crisis surrounding Ki Soo Jong (Ha Jung Woo) and Kim Sun (Im Soo Jung), whose attempt to keep their dangerous situation under control only pushes them into even more trouble.

The latest episode raised the pressure as Se Yoon Building became part of a redevelopment zone, suddenly turning the property into an even bigger prize.

That news fueled Ki Soo Jong’s ambition, especially after learning he could potentially make a massive profit. His determination hardened even more after he felt betrayed by those around him, with Ki Soo Jong firmly declaring, “Do you know how far I’ve come to get here,” as he refused to let go of the building.

At the same time, Kim Sun’s hidden situation also became a major focus, with the episode revealing why she had been under pressure and why she was so desperate to stop certain information from coming out.

Yona’s chilling warning, “This was the last chance for this to pass quietly,” added even more tension and made it clear that the danger around the couple is only getting worse.

What especially grabbed viewers was the way the episode kept piling pressure onto the main characters, as every attempt to fix one problem created an even bigger one.

That chaos reached a dramatic peak when Oh Dong Ki (Hyun Bong Sik), the first floor cafe owner, suddenly got caught in the middle of the couple’s desperate cover up, creating one of the episode’s most shocking moments.

With the drama now balancing rising greed, betrayal, and escalating danger inside Se Yoon Building, Mad Concrete Dreams is drawing stronger attention for its unpredictable pace and high tension storytelling.

After hitting No. 1 in its time slot and reaching a 4.5% nationwide peak, viewers are now even more curious to see how far Ki Soo Jong and Kim Sun’s collapsing situation will spiral next.
