Actor Seo In Guk is drawing attention with a new pictorial and candid interview after impressing viewers with his dual role in Netflix’s Boyfriend on Demand.

On March 19, Story J Company released several A cut photos from Elle Korea’s April issue, featuring Seo In Guk in a softer and more sensual mood.

The actor caught attention with his chic visuals and calm, dreamy atmosphere, once again showing why he continues to stand out in both romance and pictorial concepts.

What is getting even more attention, however, is his honest explanation of how he approached his two very different characters in Boyfriend on Demand.

Speaking about playing both Gu Young Il and Park Kyung Nam, Seo In Guk shared that he made deliberate choices to clearly separate the two roles.

He explained, “When viewers see one actor playing two roles, they naturally try to find even small differences,” before revealing that he even chose to dye his hair red, despite it not being in the script, to help create a stronger contrast.

He also said he used a lower, breathier tone for Park Kyung Nam, while raising his tone more for Gu Young Il.

His comments are drawing praise because many viewers already pointed out how naturally he handled the dual role in the series, balancing the capable real world webtoon PD Park Kyung Nam and Gu Young Il, the ideal boyfriend created for Mi Rae (Jisoo) inside the virtual world of Boyfriend on Demand.

Beyond the drama, Seo In Guk also shared a more personal side during the interview when asked how he would define what it means to be “so Seo In Guk.”

He answered, “Because I am a flexible person, I can also become simple, and I feel proud of myself at those times.”

He continued by saying he does not like unnecessary conflict, explaining that while emotional clashes and differences in opinion happen in both work and life, he does not want to force his own views too strongly.

He added that he believes there is no single right answer in life, and said he prefers to smile and move past situations that do not need stubbornness rather than treating it like “letting someone win.”

With Boyfriend on Demand earning attention and Seo In Guk once again receiving praise for his romantic comedy appeal and stable acting, fans are now focusing on both his thoughtful mindset and his ability to keep showing new sides of himself with every project.
