Rookie girl group AtHeart is opening up about the senior artists who inspire them most, and the group made it clear that they are aiming high.

During a recent interview celebrating the release of their digital singles “Shut Up” and “Butterfly Doors,” the members shared that Girls’ Generation and BLACKPINK are among the major role models they hope to learn from as they continue building their career.

Member Seohyun said she looks up to both legendary girl groups because of their lasting impact and global popularity. She shared, “Girls’ Generation and BLACKPINK seniors are still actively promoting and are loved globally, so I want to learn from them.”

Arin also spoke warmly about BLACKPINK’s Jennie, revealing that she admired her even before debut. She explained that Jennie’s clear sense of direction and drive have been especially inspiring, saying, “I think knowing exactly what she wanted and moving toward it made her who she is now.” She added that watching Jennie perform gave her motivation, sharing, “When I see her perform, she looks like she is shining. I really want to be like her.”

Other members also named artists they admire. Caitlin said she wants to learn from KATSEYE’s Sophia for the way she expresses herself “elegantly and naturally,” while Nahyun said she wants to follow IVE’s Jang Wonyoung’s mindset and hardworking attitude.

The group also shared the kind of future they are dreaming about.

Nahyun revealed that one of her goals is to stand on year end stages, while also hoping to one day perform at major venues and festivals such as Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Tokyo Dome. Arin added that she hopes AtHeart can hold its own solo concert in the future and eventually perform in stadiums and arenas.

For this year, the members said they want to grow through more music and bigger achievements. Nahyun said the group hopes to release music more often, while Bom shared a clear goal by saying, “I really want to win No. 1 on a music show.”

With big dreams, clear role models, and growing confidence, AtHeart is already showing that they are thinking far beyond just their current comeback.
