BLACKPINK has added another major milestone on the U.S. Billboard chart with their latest release “DEADLINE.”

According to Billboard, the group’s third mini album “DEADLINE” debuted at No.8 on the Billboard 200 chart.

This marks BLACKPINK’s fifth time entering the chart, following their previous releases “SQUARE UP,” “Kill This Love,” “THE ALBUM,” and “BORN PINK.”

With this achievement, the group has now placed three consecutive albums in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, further showing their strong global presence.

Previously, “THE ALBUM” reached No.2, setting a record for a K pop girl group at the time, while “BORN PINK” later became the first album by a K pop female artist to reach No.1 on the chart.

The album is also performing well on the UK Official Charts. “DEADLINE” ranked No.11 on the Official Albums Top 100, while the title track “GO” debuted at No.44 on the Official Singles Top 100.

With these results, BLACKPINK has set a new record for the most chart entries by a K pop female artist in both the Official Albums and Singles charts.

The mini album has also shown strong sales and chart performance in Korea. “DEADLINE” topped Hanteo’s weekly and monthly charts despite having only about two and a half days of tracking, achieved a triple crown on the Circle Chart, and recorded 1,774,577 copies in first week sales, setting a new first week sales record for a K pop girl group.

International media outlets have also shared positive reactions to the release. Rolling Stone described the album as “BLACKPINK returning at the peak of their power,” while Billboard praised the title track “GO” as “the best song on the album and a track that truly represents BLACKPINK.”
