SF9’s Yoo Tae Yang quietly enlists as active duty soldier, marking temporary break from activities

SF9 member Yoo Tae Yang has officially begun his military service today, March 3.

The idol entered a training center to fulfill his mandatory duty. After completing basic military training, he will serve as an active duty soldier in the military band.

His agency FNC Entertainment shared, “As the enlistment day will be shared with many other soldiers, the exact time and location of Yoo Tae Yang’s enlistment will remain private, and no separate event will be held.” The agency added, “Please give Yoo Tae Yang your warm support as he faithfully carries out his duty and returns in good health.”

Before his enlistment, Yoo Tae Yang met fans through a fan meeting and expressed his gratitude. He said, “It was a meaningful time created by the support and effort of many people. I sincerely thank everyone who prepared it together, as well as the band session members and the members who made the stage shine. I will not forget the best moments we made together.”

Yoo Tae Yang debuted in 2016 as a member of SF9 and gained attention with songs such as “O Sole Mio,” “Trauma,” and “Bibora.” In addition to group promotions, he has also built a steady career as a solo artist and musical actor, appearing in productions including “The Three Musketeers,” “Salieri,” and “Rent.”
