BLACKPINK is once again proving their massive global power as their latest mini album DEADLINE records explosive sales just days after release.

According to Hanteo Chart on March 2, DEADLINE sold 1,470,920 copies during the 5th week of February, topping the weekly album chart.

The achievement is even more impressive as the album reached No. 1 with only two and a half days of sales counted after its February 27 release.

On its first day alone, DEADLINE sold 1,461,785 copies, setting a new record for the highest first day sales in K pop girl group history.

The comeback, marking BLACKPINK’s first full group album in about 3 years and 5 months, clearly reflected strong global anticipation.

YG Entertainment addressed the overwhelming response, stating, “Global demand for the album has far exceeded our initial expectations, and we are currently proceeding with additional production.”

The agency added, “We ask for your continued anticipation for the new records BLACKPINK will write once again.”

Beyond physical sales, DEADLINE topped the iTunes Album Chart in 38 regions and reached No. 1 on the Worldwide chart.

In China, the title track “GO” and other album tracks ranked at the top of QQ Music’s charts. The “GO” music video also secured No. 1 on YouTube’s global daily trending music video chart.

With record breaking sales and strong global chart performance, BLACKPINK continues to dominate both domestically and internationally.
