Song Ji Ho has shared his thoughts following the finale of To My Beloved Thief, looking back on his time playing Hong Dae Il.

In the drama, Song Ji Ho took on the role of Hong Dae Il, the older brother of Hong Eun Jo (played by Nam Ji Hyun).

His character first gained attention for his comic charm, especially in scenes where he scolded Daegun Lee Yeol (played by Moon Sang Min) after mistaking him for a thief.

His playful moment of calling himself a “loyal Jindo dog type” also brought laughter and highlighted his strong screen presence.

However, Song Ji Ho showed more than just humor. As the story progressed, he added emotional depth to the role by portraying strong family love and personal growth.

His tearful scene after the death of his father Hong Min Jik (played by Kim Seok Hoon) left a deep impression on viewers.

He carefully showed the transformation of his character from a carefree older brother to a responsible son determined to protect his family.

After the drama ended, Song Ji Ho expressed his gratitude, saying, “The time I cried and laughed together with Hong Dae Il was a big gift to me.” He continued, “Thanks to the director, writer, fellow actors, and the viewers who supported My Dearest Thief until the end, I was able to finish happily.”

Through this project, Song Ji Ho once again proved his wide acting range. With both comedic and emotional moments, he strengthened his image as a reliable actor who can fully bring his characters to life.
