BLACKPINK has officially made YouTube history by becoming the first artist in the world to surpass 100 million subscribers.

According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel exceeded 100 million subscribers at around 7:31 PM KST on the 20th.

With this achievement, the group now holds the highest subscriber count among all artists globally.

It has been approximately 9 years and 8 months since the channel was launched on June 28, 2016.

Subscriber numbers reportedly saw a noticeable rise after the group began promotions for their upcoming third mini album, ‘DEADLINE.’

Since the album announcement video was released last month, the channel has gained an average of about 10,000 new subscribers per day, reflecting strong global interest.

On YouTube, subscriber count is often viewed as a key indicator of an artist’s global influence and loyal fanbase. BLACKPINK previously made history in July 2020 as the first non-English artist to enter the platform’s top five most-subscribed artists.

They later surpassed major global pop stars including Ariana Grande, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Marshmello, and Justin Bieber.

In September 2021, BLACKPINK ranked No. 1 among all artists worldwide in YouTube subscriber rankings and has continued to maintain that top position.

The group’s view count further highlights their dominance. BLACKPINK currently has 50 videos with over 100 million views each, and their official channel has accumulated approximately 41.1 billion total views.

They were also recognized by Guinness World Records as the band with the most views on YouTube.

With 100 million subscribers and the No. 1 global ranking secured, BLACKPINK once again proves their unmatched power on the world’s largest video platform.
