tvN is gearing up for the premiere of its new Monday-Tuesday drama Siren's Kiss on March 2 at 8:50 PM, and fans are already buzzing about its star-studded cast and thrilling storyline.
The drama follows Han Seol Ah (Park Min Young), a woman suspected of insurance fraud with a chilling past, and Cha Woo Seok (Wi Ha Joon), the determined investigator uncovering the mysterious deaths surrounding her.
Park Min Young is returning to tvN after her hit drama Marry My Husband. She shared her excitement, saying, “Marry My Husband was a very loved drama, and I have a strong connection with tvN, so I feel very happy.”
She added, “This time, I am challenging myself in the thriller genre for the first time, so I am curious to see the audience’s reaction,” showing her anticipation for the new project.
About her character Han Seol Ah, Park Min Young explained, “She is a woman who locked herself in ice. She could not blame anyone for the mysterious events around her and has lived isolated in her own world.”
She added, “I focused on showing her as a confident top auctioneer, but when alone, she transforms into a mysterious figure with a dark atmosphere,” and even adjusted her voice slightly to match the role.
Her dedication included weight adjustments and changing her daily routines to fully capture the character’s emotions.
Park Min Young also shared tips for viewers, saying, “I recommend watching the events around Han Seol Ah one by one and following how the secrets gradually surface without any spoilers. Although it feels light, there are heavy meanings hidden, so viewers should pay attention.”
Wi Ha Joon plays Cha Woo Seok, a cold and determined insurance investigator who stops at nothing to catch fraudsters who risk lives.
He described the drama as “suspenseful and intriguing, making you look forward to the next episode,” and shared that his character is very different from his previous gentle roles.
He also spoke about the challenge of showing Cha Woo Seok’s emotional changes after meeting Han Seol Ah: “I tried to calculate exactly when his emotions change and deepen, and express it through gradual changes in his eyes,” showing his careful approach to the role.
Regarding the action scenes, Wi Ha Joon said, “I practice martial arts as a hobby, so I felt confident. I focused more on showing Cha Woo Seok’s emotions through the action rather than preparing specially,” which promises dynamic and emotional fight sequences.
He added that the main focus for viewers should be the emotional development between Han Seol Ah and Cha Woo Seok: “If viewers follow how they feel and change for each other, it will make watching even more immersive.”
With its mix of romance, mystery, and suspense, Siren's Kiss promises a thrilling start and is already expected to hit number 1 in ratings when it airs.
