BTS member Jungkook has once again shown his massive global influence after being named one of the 15 most famous people in the world by US portal site AOL.
According to AOL’s latest list, Jungkook ranked No. 15 under his real name Jeon Jungkook, and was the only Asian to make the Top 15. He stood alongside major figures from politics, sports, business, and entertainment. Among male artists, only Jungkook and Justin Bieber were included.
AOL praised Jungkook as a “multi talented” star, describing him as an outstanding singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, and creative artist, highlighting his image as a true all rounder with global appeal.
The list also featured world famous names such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Elon Musk, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Barack Obama, placing Jungkook firmly among the world’s biggest icons.
Jungkook’s ranking is backed by strong data. He ranked No. 1 as the most searched male K pop idol on YouTube worldwide in 2025, holding the top spot for five years in a row. He also placed No. 1 as the most searched male idol in the United States the same year.
On Google, Jungkook has remained the most searched K pop idol for over five years, while on TikTok, the hashtag #jungkook became the first among solo artists worldwide to surpass 300 billion views, showing his unmatched online presence.
In awards and recognition, Jungkook won K Pop Artist of the Year at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, and also took home Male Artist of the Year at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, becoming the first and only Asian artist to win in that category.
He was also selected by Rolling Stone as one of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time, making him the first Korean male singer to be included. Jungkook later ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s 2024 K Pop Artist 100, and was named to Gold House’s A100 list of the most influential Asians.
In addition, The Hollywood Reporter included Jungkook as the only K pop artist on its Platinum Players Power List, while Audacy named him Artist of the Summer 2023, and Stacker selected him as the most famous musician born in 1997.
With rankings, searches, and global recognition continuing to rise, Jungkook’s place as a true worldwide icon is becoming even more undeniable.
