G-Dragon is once again drawing attention after calmly and humorously addressing the past issue where he liked a video of BLACKPINK's Jennie, sparking online debate.
On February 6, G-Dragon appeared on the YouTube channel Zip Daesung and opened up about his social media habits.
During the conversation, he explained that he often presses “like” on fan posts as a way to say thank you, earning him the nickname “like fairy.”
The issue resurfaced when fans remembered how G-Dragon once liked and later unliked a fan account post featuring Jennie’s stage video.
At the time, the action led to mixed reactions, with some calling it meaningful and others saying it was simply a mistake.
Addressing it directly, G-Dragon explained, “I started pressing like because I’m thankful that fans promote me. It’s my way of saying thank you.”
He emphasized that his actions were meant to be simple fan communication, not something with deeper meaning.
Adding to the explanation, his close friend Lee Soo Hyuk shared that G-Dragon often presses like very quickly because he worries fans might feel left out if they do not receive one. This habit, he said, can easily lead to small mistakes.
G-Dragon then joked, “I don’t really have a standard. I press it whenever I have time, so much that my fingerprints could wear out,” before adding with a laugh, “My hands are kind of big.”
By turning the situation into lighthearted talk, G-Dragon transformed what could have been an awkward topic into an entertaining moment.
Viewers also noticed a more relaxed and relatable side of him, different from his usually mysterious image.
Rather than avoiding the question, G-Dragon faced it head on in his own calm and witty style, once again showing why his words and actions continue to draw attention.
