Controversy surrounding Lee Sung Hoon, a contestant from Single’s Inferno 5, is now being addressed, as Netflix has officially denied rumors that he was dating two people at the same time.
On February 2, Netflix responded to the growing discussion by stating to iMBC Entertainment, “After checking with the cast member, the claims are not true”, firmly shutting down the allegations.
The rumors first began after a Taiwanese media outlet reported that Lee Sung Hoon was allegedly seeing more than one person while in a relationship.
Speculation quickly spread online after American influencer Kevin Nin shared a video claiming he had “actually met a male cast member from ‘Single’s Inferno 5’,” leading many to assume the person mentioned was Lee Sung Hoon. Additional claims later circulated on social media, further fueling the controversy.
As the situation escalated, Lee Sung Hoon directly spoke out on his social media, clearly stating, “I have never been involved in an affair. All of these claims are false,” and added that legal action has already begun in response to defamation.
He also addressed Kevin Nin’s remarks, explaining that the two only met for dinner as friends after Kevin Nin reached out while visiting New York.
Lee Sung Hoon expressed disappointment, saying the story was exaggerated while “dragging someone else into it.”
Following the official statement and his response, Lee Sung Hoon’s social media account has since been deactivated, while attention now shifts toward correcting misinformation surrounding the issue.
