
Actress Shin Se Kyung recently opened up about her early years and shared that failing auditions over and over turned out to be an unexpected blessing.
Appearing on the YouTube show Fairy’s Table from the channel Fairy Jaehyung, Shin Se Kyung spoke honestly about her past.
She revealed that although she kept attending auditions and wanted to work as a child actress, things often did not work out.
Looking back, she said those moments were actually “a big blessing,” explaining that because of them, she was able to fully enjoy her school days.
During the conversation, host Jung Jae Hyung mentioned that he had heard she was known as the “Mokdong goddess” and even ranked 7th in her school.
Shin Se Kyung quickly corrected him with a laugh, saying, “No, I was 8th.” She added that her middle school was known for being very competitive, so she studied hard at the time.
She also shared how meaningful those years were to her, saying that spending time with friends her age and being able to focus on school instead of work left her with precious memories. Shin Se Kyung described that period as something she now truly values.
Her honest comments resonated with viewers, offering a warm and relatable look at how moments that once felt like setbacks later became something she is thankful for.
