SEVENTEEN’s DK is drawing attention after sharing honest thoughts about how his mindset as a vocalist has changed, while also showing a more mature image through a fashion magazine cover.
On January 27, Pledis Entertainment announced that DK appeared on the cover of W Korea Vol. 2.
For the shoot, DK worked with luxury fashion brand Polo Ralph Lauren and presented a modern western style inspired by classic western films.

Compared to his DK and Seungkwan unit promotions, he showed a stronger and more grown image.
In the interview that followed the shoot, DK talked about working on the DK and Seungkwan mini album Soyagok. He explained, “Seungkwan and I have very different vocal styles, but there are also parts where they overlap.”
He added that the title track Blue was created by carefully blending their strengths, saying, “We kept talking and polishing the song together, and through that process, the song slowly gained its own meaning.”

DK also reflected on how his view of singing has changed over time. He shared, “In the past, powerful high notes and explosive vocals looked cool to me. Now my standards are different.”
He continued, “I think what matters more is whether you have your own color and how long you’ve worked to refine it.” DK added that he now believes “not giving up easily and continuing to move forward” is the most impressive thing.
More photos of DK can be found on W Korea’s official website and social media accounts.

Meanwhile, following the release of Soyagok, DK has stayed active by appearing on various vocal content and variety shows.
He has continued to showcase his skills as a main vocalist through popular YouTube programs, both on his own and together with Seungkwan.
