Singer Rain has issued an official apology after an interaction with a hearing impaired fan during his overseas concert drew attention online.

According to reports, Rain held a solo concert at Taipei Arena in Taiwan on January 17 as part of his Still Raining world tour.

During the show, he noticed a fan who was filming the stage instead of dancing and asked in Korean, “Why aren’t you dancing?” The comment was translated by an interpreter for the audience.

The fan later explained that they could not hear the exchange and had pointed to their ears to indicate their hearing disability. However, Rain did not realize the situation at the time and continued the performance.

After the concert, the fan shared their experience on social media, saying they misunderstood Rain’s words and thought he was asking them to sing louder rather than dance. As the post spread, Rain personally responded with an apology.

On January 20, Rain commented directly on the fan’s post, saying, “I’m sorry I didn’t know that you couldn’t hear”.

He added, I wasn’t considerate enough. I didn’t think carefully,” and promised, “I will be more thoughtful and careful at all future concerts.”

Rain also left a warm message for the fan, who had recently celebrated their birthday, saying, “Although there was an incident, I hope it became a beautiful memory. Thank you for coming to see the concert.”

Following his apology, many fans acknowledged Rain’s response, noting that he addressed the situation directly and expressed clear regret.
