BTS's Jungkook ranks No. 1 among solo singers and lifts Korea’s image worldwide

BTS member Jungkook has once again shown his strong global influence after ranking No. 1 among solo singers in a survey measuring figures who positively improved Korea’s national image.

According to the Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism survey titled 2025 Republic of Korea National Image, released on the 20th, Jungkook placed 6th overall among all influential figures. He recorded 2.5 percentage points, the highest score among individual singers, highlighting his strong public impact.

The results also showed Jungkook’s influence is especially strong among younger generations. He recorded 6.7 percent among teenagers, 4.6 percent among people in their twenties, and 1.7 percent among those in their thirties, showing broad support from young audiences.

By country, Jungkook ranked within the Top 10 in many regions, including 4th in Russia, 5th in Brazil and Malaysia, 6th in Egypt, and Top 10 rankings in countries such as the United States, Italy, Spain, and Indonesia. Out of 25 surveyed countries, he was identified as a figure who helped improve Korea’s image in 13 countries, proving his wide global reach.

Jungkook’s influence has also been reflected in overseas popularity surveys. He ranked 6th in the 2025 Overseas Hallyu Survey for “Most preferred K pop singer,” following a 4th place ranking the previous year, keeping him in the Top 10 for two years in a row.

With consistent high rankings across national image and global popularity surveys, Jungkook continues to stand out as a key figure boosting Korea’s image worldwide.
