Actor Park Seo Joon recently opened up about his careful approach to romance acting and shared his thoughts on taking on love stories as he gets older.
During an interview following the end of JTBC’s Surely Tomorrow, Park Seo Joon said, “Confidence is the most important thing in romance acting,” explaining that actors need to express emotions in a realistic way using their own interpretation.
This drama marked Park Seo Joon’s return to a romance series for the first time in seven years since What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.

He shared that what attracted him to the project was the long emotional journey of the story, saying he wanted to “express different emotions in each scene in a very delicate way.”
In terms of performance, Surely Tomorrow recorded a highest nationwide rating of 4.7% for its final episode.
While this was lower compared to some of his past hits, Park Seo Joon commented calmly, “There is always some regret with every project,” adding that he hopes the drama will still be remembered as “a good story” over time.

Park Seo Joon also reflected on his personal growth, sharing that he went through burnout after working nonstop since his debut.
He explained that staying active through exercise and travel helped him recover, and that the experience made him stronger.
Looking ahead, Park Seo Joon expressed excitement about future roles, saying that being an actor allows him to “leave each age like a diary.”
He added with a smile that just as he portrayed youth in his 20s and 30s, he now looks forward to showing more mature stories, noting that romance in his 40s will feel different and meaningful.
Fans are now curious to see what kind of romance Park Seo Joon will bring next as he continues to grow with each stage of his career.
