Actress and singer Kim Se Jeong recently shared warm feelings about reuniting with a former Gugudan member, while also drawing attention for the solid performance of her latest drama.

Kim Se Jeong, who starred as the lead in MBC’s Friday–Saturday drama The Moon Flows Over the River, met with reporters for an interview last month. During the conversation, she talked about unexpectedly running into former Gugudan member Jo Aram, saying, “We go to the same hair and makeup shop. I was on my way to a drama shoot, and she was heading to a press event. I was so happy to see her, and we sincerely cheer each other on.”

The timing drew interest as both actresses appeared back to back in MBC dramas, years after Gugudan officially disbanded in 2020. Kim Se Jeong shared her hopes for the members’ futures, saying, “Not only Ara, but Mina too, many Gugudan members chose acting. I hope we all grow well in our own places and remain good friends in this industry for a long time.”

Attention has also been on Kim Se Jeong’s drama performance. The Moon Flows Over the River premiered at 3.8% nationwide ratings and ended with a peak rating of 6.8%, showing a clear upward trend.

This result was especially meaningful, as MBC had struggled with low ratings in the same time slot prior to the drama.

With both her acting project finishing on a strong note and her heartfelt reunion with a former groupmate gaining attention, Kim Se Jeong continues to show steady growth in her career, as fans support her journey as both an actress and an artist.
