
Actress Kim Hye Yoon candidly looked back on the difficult years she faced before finding success, sharing shocking stories from her early days as a minor and supporting actress.
During her appearance on tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, Kim Hye Yoon revealed that she attended over 100 auditions, often feeling discouraged and worn down.
She admitted, “I was an amateur,” and shared that there were times she went to “three auditions in one day,” only to face repeated rejection.

She also recalled hearing “words that could not be aired, including insults,” adding that she often cried alone in her car or on public transportation after painful experiences on set.
She went on to explain that many of her early roles were extremely small, sometimes lasting only a single day of filming. Kim Hye Yoon shared that even roles like “female high school student number one” were not easy, noting that those parts still required heavy dialogue and effort.
She added that it was only after Sky Castle ended that she was finally able to join an agency.
One of the most memorable hardships she shared involved filming in extreme cold. Kim Hye Yoon revealed that she once refused a heater because she was told she was “not qualified yet,” saying she was fine.
As a result, she suffered frostbite on her fingers, explaining that her fingernails even fell off. “It was that cold, but I endured it,” she said.
Her honest story highlighted the tough reality behind her journey, leaving viewers impressed by her perseverance and determination before reaching where she is today.
