Rising girl group MEOVV is quickly making their mark on the global stage with a nomination at a major U.S. music awards show.
On January 8 (local time), iHeartRadio officially announced the nominees for the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, revealing that MEOVV (Soo In, Ga Won, Anna, Na Rin, Ella) has been nominated in the Best New Artist (K pop) category. This marks the group’s first nomination at a U.S. music awards ceremony since debut.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards, held annually since 2014, honor artists and songs that received the most plays on iHeartRadio stations and its app throughout the year. MEOVV’s nomination highlights their growing global presence and strong response from international K pop listeners.
MEOVV began their journey last April with the pre release track “Hands Up,” followed by their first EP “My Eyes Open Vvide” in May. The title track “Drop Top” helped the group gain attention for their wider musical range and stable live performances, both in Korea and overseas.
Just five months later, MEOVV made a fast comeback with the digital single “Burning Up.” The release showed stronger performances and upgraded sound, earning solid results on both domestic and global charts. Their steady momentum also led to wins at several year end award shows, further strengthening their position as one of the leading 5th generation girl groups.
The 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards will take place on March 26 in Los Angeles, with fans now watching closely to see how far MEOVV’s global rise will go next.
