Actress Park Ji Hyun has officially been confirmed as the female lead of the upcoming drama Love Cloud, where she will star alongside Song Joong Ki, drawing strong interest from fans.
According to reports on January 5, Park Ji Hyun will take on the role of Ahn Ha Nui, an airline co pilot, in Love Cloud.
This marks her first drama lead opposite Song Joong Ki since their appearance together in JTBC’s Reborn Rich in 2022, making it a reunion after four years.
Love Cloud is described as a romantic comedy with human drama elements. The story centers on two people connected to aviation who meet again years later in Jeju, a place portrayed as emotional and symbolic. With its soft tone and healing atmosphere, the drama is already gaining attention ahead of its release.
Park Ji Hyun’s casting comes after a strong year for the actress. Following the success of Netflix’s You and Everything Else and her Blue Dragon Film Award win for Best Supporting Actress for the film Hidden Face, she has been receiving many offers. After careful consideration, she chose Love Cloud as her next project.
The drama will be directed by Song Min Yeop, known for Doctor Prisoner and Youth of May, with the script written by Team Mad Rabbit.
The broadcast channel has not yet been announced, and the drama is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
With Park Ji Hyun and Song Joong Ki leading the cast, Love Cloud is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about upcoming Korean dramas.
