KATSEYE, the girl group formed by HYBE and Geffen Records, is making waves worldwide once again with their new release Internet Girl.
According to Spotify charts released on January 3, Internet Girl debuted at #6 on the US Daily Top Songs and #13 on the Global Daily Top Songs on its very first day. The track was streamed approximately 2.87 million times in just 24 hours, setting a record for the group’s most-streamed release on day one.
Even though Internet Girl is a fan favorite track rather than an official title track, it quickly showed strong momentum. Following the global success of hits like Gabriela and Gnarly from their second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, KATSEYE is proving their growing influence as next-generation pop stars.

The song features catchy dance-pop beats and addictive hooks, and its playful lyrics respond cleverly to online attention, showcasing KATSEYE’s signature charm.
A highlight performance move, where the members rapidly change facial expressions while covering and uncovering their faces with their hands, has gone viral on social media.
Fans call it the “emoji dance”, and the trend has been widely shared on TikTok and Instagram.
The success of Internet Girl has also boosted previous hits. Gabriela rose 38 spots to #14 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart, while Gnarly re-entered at #191, showing the group’s rising global reach.
Since debuting in the US in June 2024 through the audition project The Debut: Dream Academy, KATSEYE has been recognized as a major success story under HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk’s “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy. Their songs Gnarly and Gabriela have charted on the US Billboard Hot 100, and BEAUTIFUL CHAOS reached #4 on the Billboard 200.
KATSEYE is also a Grammy nominee for the 68th Grammy Awards in Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, further cementing their status as one of K-pop’s fastest rising global acts.
