Actor Lee Chae Min is drawing attention for his dramatic image change in the upcoming Netflix series Cashero, where he takes on a villain role and works closely with Lee Junho.
After gaining popularity for his warm and friendly character in tvN’s Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, Lee Chae Min is returning with a completely different vibe.
In Cashero, he plays Jonathan, a cold and charismatic figure described as the heir of a criminal organization.
Lee Chae Min shared that this is likely his first villain role, explaining that he focused on the idea of “hunting”, portraying a character who will do anything to reach his goal.
What especially caught fans’ attention was Lee Chae Min’s praise for his co star Lee Junho. He said that working with Lee Junho was “a great honor” and that he learned a lot during filming.
He added that he often thought, “How can someone be this cool?”, describing the experience as “dream like.”
Lee Junho also returned the praise, calling Lee Chae Min a “rising star”. He shared that he was impressed by Lee Chae Min’s preparation and effort from their very first scene, and said their on screen chemistry felt natural and enjoyable.
Cashero tells the story of an ordinary office worker who gains special strength based on how much money he has, offering a fresh and relatable take on the hero genre.
With Lee Chae Min’s striking villain transformation and Lee Junho’s leading role, the series is already building strong anticipation.
Netflix’s Cashero is set to premiere on the 26th.
