Despite starring Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin, SBS’s Wednesday Thursday drama Dynamite Kiss is facing a tough time as its ratings continue to decline.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 12 of Kissing for No Reason!, which aired on the 18th, recorded a nationwide household rating of 5.6 percent.
While this number is slightly higher than its early performance, it still reflects a downward trend compared to the drama’s recent peak.
The drama first premiered last month with ratings in the 4 percent range, showing a weak start.
As episodes went on, word of mouth helped the show see a temporary rise in viewership. However, that momentum did not last long.
Viewers have continued to share critical reactions, pointing to confusing story development and disappointment with the overall flow of the drama.
As a result, ratings quickly dropped again, and with only two episodes left before the finale, many viewers are reportedly choosing to tune out. Even with two well known leads at the center, Dynamite Kiss is struggling to maintain stable viewership until the end.
With the finale approaching, attention is now on whether the drama can recover its ratings or if it will close out its run on a low note.
