Actor Lee Byung Hun has shared honest thoughts about his long career and growing global presence in a newly released interview.

On December 15, Lee Byung Hun spoke about his continued overseas projects following the worldwide success of “Squid Game.”

He said that from one to two years after the series, to projects like “K pop Demon Hunters” and his latest work “No Choice,” it still feels surprising to see so much global interest and support.

He shared that the attention is so big it can be called a global phenomenon.

Lee also pointed to the rise of streaming platforms as a major reason behind this success. He explained that Korean content has slowly earned love around the world over time, and streaming services helped Korean language content be watched on the same level as Hollywood productions.

Most of all, Lee Byung Hun reflected on what truly matters to him as an actor. He said that what drives him is the chance to discover new and deeper human emotions through his roles. He shared a meaningful line, saying that when an actor’s life ends, what remains is not awards, but the works themselves.

He added that he still feels strong curiosity and passion to explore emotions he has not shown yet, and he hopes to continue appearing in projects that many people want to watch.
