A new late-90s–themed drama is on the way, and it’s coming right after tvN’s hit Typhoon Family, which soared with ratings over 10%.
Now, Park Shin Hye is taking the spotlight, and many viewers are already calling her the “next Hong Geum Bo,” showing excitement for her big transformation.
tvN’s upcoming drama Undercover Miss Hong, premiering on January 17, introduces Park Shin Hye as Hong Geum Bo—an elite financial inspector in her 30s who suddenly has to hide her real identity and enter a securities company as a 20-year-old rookie.

With her acting as a young employee with a completely different background, viewers are expecting a fresh and fun retro office story.
This also marks Park Shin Hye’s first tvN comeback in eight years, raising even more buzz. Go Kyung Pyo, Ha Yun Kyung, and Jo Han Gyeol join her with strong character performances, making the cast lineup even more solid.
The first teaser instantly grabbed attention. Park Shin Hye appears in a short haircut and a neat uniform, acting like a simple new employee—but the teaser soon reveals her true identity as the sharp and elite Hong Geum Bo.

The line “Miss Hong, the most perfect disguise created by the times” quickly became the highlight, making viewers curious about her undercover mission.
Online reactions exploded with comments like, “Park Shin Hye is always fun to watch,” and “A drama to start the new year right.”
The first still photos also impressed viewers, showing Park Shin Hye pulling off two totally different looks: the confident and cool Hong Geum Bo, and the bright, innocent Hong Jang Mi. Her transformation is already raising expectations for a standout performance.
Undercover Miss Hong will premiere on January 17 and air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM.
