Actor Heo Sung Tae shared heartwarming stories about Park Bo Gum’s personality and thoughtfulness on the December 10 episode of MBC’s Radio Star. The episode, titled “A thousand faces, do you know who I am?”, featured Heo Sung Tae, Shin Sung Rok, Jung Yi Rang, and Kim Hae Jun.

Heo Sung Tae expressed his deep trust in Park Bo Gum, saying, “I really doubt people a lot. I don’t trust people easily. Everyone said he was a good person, but I still approached him with doubt. But from the script reading, I watched him carefully and he was real. Actors know when someone is being fake, but Park Bo Gum is different.”

He also recalled the kind gestures he received from Park Bo Gum on set. “He gave me an expensive skin lotion because I slapped his face in a scene. No, he meant it sincerely. He gave it to me when no one was watching,” Heo Sung Tae explained. He added, “There is a detective outfit that Bogum wore often. I once said it looked nice when he passed by, and he gave it to me as a birthday gift.”

Heo Sung Tae shared another thoughtful moment, saying, “Since I was the oldest on set, I always paid for the meals without the younger actors knowing. But because I kept doing it, Bogum said, ‘Sunbaenim! If we split the bill, we can see each other for a long time,’” showing the actor’s considerate nature.

Reacting to these stories, Kim Gu Ra joked, “Did you see Park Bo Gum’s appearance fee? It’s easier if Bogum pays,” making everyone laugh. When asked to choose between “top celebrity good guys” Kang Ha Neul and Park Bo Gum, Heo Sung Tae joked, “Kang Bo Gum. You cannot rank the two.”

Heo Sung Tae also revealed he is trying a “Live like Park Bo Gum challenge” in real life. He said, “Bogum sincerely told me, ‘Please don’t smoke,’ so I tried to quit. But I failed after five months. There’s a no-smoking camp in the countryside. If you pay 100,000 won, they lock you in. I’m planning to go for 4 nights and 5 days in mid-December.”

When he mentioned going “without cameras,” the cast laughed and suggested he film it as a YouTube video instead, adding even more humor to the conversation.
