Actor Park Seo Joon is back in the romance drama scene after 7 years with JTBC’s weekend series Surely Tomorrow.

The drama, which premiered on December 6, recorded 2.7% ratings for Episode 1 and 3.3% for Episode 2, showing a slow start in the ratings.

Despite the modest numbers, viewers are praising Park Seo Joon’s performance and the chemistry with his first love, Seo Ji Woo (played by Won Ji An).

A drama official said, “Park Seo Joon is an actor who brings every small moment in daily life to life. For the character Lee Kyung Do, he carefully discussed and suggested emotional and behavioral details in every scene.”

They added,“His portrayal has the same relatable qualities as Go Dong Man from Fight My Way and Park Sae Ro Yi from Itaewon Class, connecting with audiences in a real way, and word-of-mouth is already spreading.”

Surely Tomorrow continues to air Saturdays at 10:40 PM and Sundays at 10:30 PM KST on JTBC, and fans are closely watching Park Seo Joon’s return to romance dramas despite the initial low ratings.
