SBS Wednesday–Thursday drama Dynamite Kiss is continuing its rapid rise in popularity, topping both domestic and global charts.

The drama has captured viewers’ attention with its exciting romance, starring Jang Ki Yong (as Gong Ji Hyuk) and Ahn Eun Jin (as Go Da Rim).

The December 4 broadcast of episode 8 set a new personal best for the show, recording a 7.1% viewership rating in the Seoul metropolitan area.

Its peak rating reached 8.5%, while the 20–49 age group rating hit 2.41%, marking the drama’s highest numbers so far.

Dynamite Kiss also ranked number 1 across all channels in the same time slot, number 1 among weekday dramas, and number 1 in the 29–49 age group for Thursday programs, showing its overwhelming domestic success.

The drama is also gaining major attention globally. On Netflix, Dynamite Kiss climbed to the global TOP 1 in the non-English category for November 24–30.

It started at global 3rd in its first week, rose to global 2nd in the second week, and finally reached global 1st by the third week, showing a steep and fast-growing popularity curve.

Experts attribute the drama’s global appeal to its relatable portrayal of love and unexpected twists that keep viewers hooked.

The chemistry between Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin, combined with the heart-fluttering dialogue from writers Ha Yoon Ah and Tae Kyung Min, and the playful direction of Kim Jae Hyun and Kim Hyun Woo, have all contributed to its massive success.

With Dynamite Kiss continuing to gain fans in Asia, the Americas, and beyond, it has solidified its position as a global hit.

The drama airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:00 p.m. on SBS and is proving to be a must-watch for K-romance fans everywhere.
