Song Joong Ki is wasting no time. Just two months after wrapping My Youth, the star has already locked in his next drama and is heading back to the rom com world with the upcoming series Love Cloud.
Industry officials revealed that Song Joong Ki recently received the script and is “positively reviewing” the project, marking one of his quickest drama decisions in recent years.
The news immediately sparked buzz, especially since fans have been waiting for him to return to a light and heartwarming genre.
Love Cloud is described as a romance comedy set in Jeju Island and will be led by director Song Min Yeob, known for Youth of May. Rookie writer team Mad Rabbit is handling the script, raising curiosity about the fresh pairing.
Song Joong Ki is set to take on the male lead Kang Woo Ju, making it his first time playing a character connected to aviation. With casting for the female lead now underway and filming planned for next year, excitement continues to rise.
