TWICE, the 10-year-debut K-pop girl group, has donated funds to help victims of the recent Hong Kong apartment fire.

On December 4, JYP Entertainment announced on Weibo, “TWICE has donated 1 million Hong Kong dollars (approximately 188 million KRW) through World Vision Hong Kong.” The funds will support emergency relief efforts, including temporary housing, psychological support, education, and living assistance for affected children and residents.

The group is scheduled to perform at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on December 6 and 7, making them the first K-pop girl group to perform at the venue. JYP Entertainment shared, “After careful and serious discussions under this heavy situation, TWICE has decided to go ahead with the performance with a heart full of condolence.”

The agency added that the group hopes for a quick recovery for affected residents and expressed their deepest condolences to the victims. They also honored the rescue workers who devoted themselves during the crisis.

Despite the tragedy, TWICE will proceed with the performances as planned, preparing with the utmost solemnity to show respect and empathy while bringing K-pop to Hong Kong fans.

TWICE’s donation and performance highlight the group’s generosity, professionalism, and global influence, further cementing their reputation as leaders in the K-pop industry.
