BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) is winning praise once again for his kindness and support toward younger idols.
On the November 9 episode of MBC’s “King of Mask Singer” (Ep. 518), &TEAM’s Yuma shared a touching story about V that showed his warm personality.
After revealing his identity on the show, Yuma said, “This is my first time appearing alone on a Korean variety show, so I was really nervous. But I’m happy that I could show even a little bit of my charm. Thank you.”

When host Kim Sung Joo complimented his fluent Korean, Yuma smiled and replied, “I practiced with my Korean member, Uiju, so people wouldn’t notice I’m Japanese.” He also added humbly that his stage “could have been a little better.”

Yuma then opened up about how BTS inspired him to become an idol. “When I was young, I used to watch a lot of Korean music shows. I was really influenced by BTS’s perfect performances, and that made me want to become an idol,” he said.
He went on to recall a memorable moment with V, saying, “When our group made a comeback with the song ‘Firework’, BTS’s V sunbaenim (senior) posted our song on his social media story. That really stayed with me, and I’m so grateful.”
Yuma’s words moved many viewers, reminding fans once again of V’s humble and generous nature. Whether on stage or off, BTS’s V continues to inspire and encourage his juniors with small but meaningful acts of kindness.
