Fans hoping to see Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Byung Hun reunite on screen will have to wait a little longer. The actress has officially decided not to move forward with the upcoming spy drama Koreans.
On November 4, a representative from her agency PEACH Company confirmed, “Koreans was one of several projects being reviewed, but it was ultimately decided not to proceed with it.”
The series Koreans is a Korean remake of the hit American FX show The Americans, directed by Ahn Gil Ho and starring Lee Byung Hun.
Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Byung Hun previously worked together in the 1999 film Happy Together, sparking excitement among fans for a long-awaited reunion. However, with Jun Ji Hyun stepping away from the project, that reunion will not happen this time.
Many fans expressed disappointment but said they remain hopeful for a future collaboration between the two veteran stars.
