EXO is officially making their long-awaited return, but fans are buzzing after it was confirmed that only six membersSuho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay — will take part in the group’s new activities and upcoming album.

On October 27, it was announced that EXO will hold a two-day fan meeting, ‘EXO'verse,’ on December 13–14 in Incheon, before releasing their 8th full album in the first quarter of 2026.

However, what caught attention was that Xiumin, Baekhyun, and Chen were not included in the lineup.

The news immediately sparked discussions online, with fans expressing mixed reactions. While many were thrilled to see six members reuniting, others couldn’t hide their disappointment about the absence of the three missing members.

Some fans commented, “It doesn’t feel complete without all of them,” while others said, “At least we’re getting new music after so long.”

The returning members — who have each been busy with solo projects and acting activities — are set to perform their hit songs, including their beloved winter track “First Snow.”

They will also unveil a brand-new song from their upcoming album during the fan meeting, giving fans a preview of what’s to come.

Despite the excitement, many EXO-Ls voiced confusion over the group’s current formation, questioning whether the group is temporarily or officially moving forward as six.

The situation has also reignited conversations about EXO’s management and the ongoing changes within the group.

Even so, anticipation remains high for the fan meeting and album release, as this marks EXO’s first major group activity in a while.

As one fan wrote online, “No matter how many members join, EXO’s name still means something special.”
