BTS’s Jungkook has once again proven his global power by setting a new record on Spotify. He officially became the K-pop solo artist with the most songs exceeding 500 million streams, marking another major career milestone.

His hit “Dreamers” — the official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar — recently reached over 500 million streams on Spotify. With this, Jungkook now has five songs that have each surpassed the same milestone: “Dreamers,” “Seven,” “3D,” “Standing Next to You,” and his collaboration with Charlie Puth, “Left and Right.”

According to international outlet Pop Crave, Jungkook now holds the record for the most 500-million-streamed songs among all K-pop solo artists in Spotify’s history.

Jungkook continues to make history, not just in music but on the global stage. He was the first Korean singer to perform a World Cup official soundtrack during the opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide.

His song “Dreamers” also dominated YouTube, ranking #1 on the U.S. Daily Top Music Videos chart for five days, #1 in the U.K., and #4 globally. It became the first World Cup song ever to hit #1 on iTunes Top Songs in more than 100 countries on its release day.

On Billboard, “Dreamers” made another record as the first World Cup soundtrack to top the Digital Song Sales chart, staying at #1 for two weeks on the World Digital Song Sales chart.

Currently, Jungkook also boasts four songs with over 1 billion streams — “Seven,” “Left and Right,” “Standing Next to You,” and “3D.” This achievement cements him as the first and most-streamed Asian solo artist ever on Spotify.

In total, Jungkook’s Spotify profile has now surpassed 9.8 billion streams, making him the fastest Asian artist and first K-pop soloist to reach such a milestone across all credited works.
