TWS is ending the year on a high note! The rookie group has officially been invited to perform at Japan’s major year-end music festival, ‘Countdown Japan 25/26,’ proving their growing power as one of K-pop’s most promising performers.

According to Pledis Entertainment, TWS will take the stage on December 27, opening the festival held at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo from December 27 to 31.

‘Countdown Japan’ is the largest indoor music festival in Japan, attracting over 160,000 attendees each year and featuring top Japanese acts like Asian Kung-Fu Generation, UVERworld, Vaundy, and Creepy Nuts.

This appearance marks another major milestone for TWS, who recently impressed Japanese audiences at the ‘Rock in Japan Festival 2025.’ The group has been rapidly gaining popularity since their Japanese debut this summer, with a 13-show tour across six cities and a Platinum-certified debut single, “Nice to see you again (Hajimemashite),” which has surpassed 250,000 copies in shipments.

Their latest mini album, ‘play hard,’ released on October 13, continues their momentum. The title track “OVERDRIVE” topped LINE MUSIC’s K-pop Top 100 chart for two straight days and became one of the top trending music videos on both Korean and Japanese YouTube.

With this new achievement, fans are calling TWS “the next K-pop performance kings” — a title they seem ready to live up to on Japan’s biggest year-end stage.
