TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) member Beomgyu is facing plagiarism claims for his solo song, and his agency BigHit Music has confirmed that legal action is being considered.
On October 16, BigHit Music shared an official statement saying, “We conducted an internal review regarding recent plagiarism claims related to Beomgyu’s song Take My Half. We have determined that there is clear similarity, and we are currently discussing follow-up legal measures with our law firm.”
The agency stressed, “An artist’s creative work is a unique asset that must be respected. We will take necessary steps to protect our artist’s rights.”
They also apologized to fans, saying, “We sincerely regret any concern caused by this issue. We will continue to protect our artists’ rights and create a healthy environment for creative activities.”
Take My Half is Beomgyu’s solo track from TXT’s fourth full album The Star Chapter: Together, in which he actively participated in writing and composing.
